Consultation

Consultation

Dr. Keegan Tangeman offers specialized consultation, supervision, and training for child and adolescent mental health issues. Consultation, supervision, and trainings specialize in specific child and adolescent psychopathology, as well as evidence-based treatments targeting these presentations. Below are the evidence-based treatments and consultation topics for which we provide services.

Evidence-based Treatments

Psychological treatments have progressed tremendously in the last several decades. One promising trend has been the development and refinement of Evidence-based Treatments – established treatments that have been shown to work in well-controlled research studies. This is an important stride the field has taken, and it’s about time we focus on those treatments that have strong empirical support behind them. After all, if you were diagnosed with a medical illness, wouldn’t you want your physician to provide the treatment that has been shown to cure it?

There are treatments for children and adolescents that work. The American Psychological Association’s Division 12: Society of Clinical Psychology and Division 53: Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology have worked together to establish a comprehensive list of evidence-based practices for childhood disorders.

Below are the Evidence-based Treatments Dr. Tangeman has specialization and experience with, for their respective childhood disorders. More information about treatments can be found in the Psychotherapy link.
